Material & Structure
- PET / AL / PE, three-layer laminate, 110 micron on every bag size. The PET outer layer is the scuff-resistant face of the pouch and it is the layer that carries the print on a later printed run. The AL layer is the real aluminium foil and it is what makes the pouch opaque to light and what slows the oxygen and moisture that stale a dry product. The PE inner layer is the food-contact film that is heat-sealed to form the pouch and to weld in the zipper.
- One 110 micron film across all eleven bag sizes. We do not change the laminate between the smallest pouch we stock and the largest one — every size in this range is the same 110 micron PET/AL/PE, so a pouch you approve at 16 × 23 + 4 cm behaves the same way at 30 × 40 + 5 cm, and you can quote one material across the whole order.
- Press-to-close zipper with a U-shaped tear notch. The zipper track is welded into the top seal of the pouch, not glued, and the seal around it is widened so the track stays straight once the pouch is filled and standing. Above the zipper the pouch is closed by a plain top seal, and a U-shaped tear notch is punched into both edges so the first opening tears in one straight line and leaves the zipper intact for resealing.
- The bag size is the only variable, and two sizes sit close together at the top of the range. The folded bottom gusset opens out when the pouch is filled, which is what lets it stand upright on a shelf or in a carton. Six of the eleven sizes carry a 4 cm gusset (13 × 18 + 4 cm up to 18 × 26 + 4 cm) and five carry a 5 cm gusset (20 × 30 + 5 cm up to 30 × 40 + 5 cm), so you can pick a taller or a squatter pouch for the same product. FAQ
These pouches are stocked and ordered by bag size, so each line in the table is one size, written as width × height + gusset in centimetres. Width is the flat measurement across the pouch, height is the flat measurement from the zipper down to the bottom fold, and the gusset is the folded base that opens out when the pouch is filled and lets it stand upright. A filled pouch stands a little shorter than the printed height — roughly the height plus half the gusset — so you can work out the packed carton size from that. The eleven sizes run from 13 × 18 + 4 cm to 30 × 40 + 5 cm, and the only thing that changes from line to line is the size, because the film and the closure are the same on all of them.
The minimum is 3,000 pcs in total per order, and you can mix as many of the 11 stock sizes as you need — for example 2,000 pcs of 16 × 23 + 4 cm plus 1,000 pcs of 23 × 35 + 5 cm reaches the minimum in one order. You do not have to take 3,000 pieces of every size. Stock pouches are dispatched on the second working day after we receive full payment, and payment for stock orders is full prepayment rather than the 50% deposit used on printed runs. They are packed in export cartons, with the zippers and the folded bases protected inside the carton. We quote EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP depending on your port, so tell us the destination and we will quote accordingly. Samples of the stock pouches are available.
Yes. These 11 sizes are the unprinted stock version of a pouch we also produce printed on the same PET/AL/PE laminate at 110 micron, and the aluminium foil layer takes a full-coverage print without the foil showing through. Custom printed runs start at 3,000 pcs for digital printing and 10,000 pcs for gravure printing. Many buyers take a stock size first, test the product on the shelf under a plain label or a sticker, and move to a printed run once the order size justifies it.
